Our theme for the month is a Canvas

I love this photo of my granddaughter in her first winter snowsuit and decided to create a textured canvas to compliment it.
I started with a Masterboard, if you want more details check out our April challenge. I brayered all these colours of chalk paint and them stamped script and bubbles on top. An A4 sheet of wax tissue paper just neatly wraps a 6×4 canvas.
The next step was to use a diamond stencil and texture paste. When I scrapped the paste onto the stencil I pushed glass beads into the pattern before removing it. The opposite corner had Rock Candy dry glitter tapped into the paste. I dried it with a heat gun which raises the paste and gives you a nice sprinkle of glitter in your hair too!
You can see the details of the stamping. I also put texture paste through a script stamp. Then everything had the Treasure Gold treatment!
Theses are the products I used to get the effects on my canvas.
The photo frame is a TH die cut which I heavily heat embossed with Gold UTEE.
I love love the wintery sparkle from the beads and the frame. I know it is the height of summer but I had a use that photo!

Wow Jan! Your canvas is gorgeous , love the brayering paint techniques you have used! Along with the sweet photo of your granddaughter it makes a beautiful piece.

This is so gorgeous. I love the way the frame sets off the beautiful photo and I also love how you have got the texture on to the canvas.
