My favourite piece of new knowledge that I learned from this challenge was that Romany Gypsies originated in India – I was like “AHA – it all makes sense now – my genetic heritage remembers……”. What a beautiful piece you have created here – how pretty is that Sari silk? I love that you put it in an embroidery hoop frame, such a clever idea – I often have pieces of offcut fabric that I save because I like the design but never know what to do with it. I liked how you turned it into a piece of art with the lace and the vintage pin and the interesting curios metal bits and bobs. Did I read that you treated it with a distress crayon? DRooooooL – cant wait for those to arrive in South Africa. Thank you for always being so supportive and kind and just the beautiful and creative and talented person that you are.
