Phew, a busy week but I had fun making a new album page with the title “Time Flies.” What a great challenge from “A Vintage Journey” I have always been interested in the wealth of vocabulary related to time (second, minute, hour, week, month, year, decade, century, millennium, today, yesterday, past, future etc,etc.). As a teacher of young children, Time is such a difficult concept! Then there are all the sayings, A stitch in time, Time flies, No time like the present…..
So I decided to use my Alphabet dies to include words, my favourites – Word Play and Untieled, plus Once upon a time and Carnivale.
First I inked an embossing folder with Peacock Feathers, Peeled Paint and Salty Ocean, then embossed white card.
I made a mask from Weathered Clock die and used crackle paste to create texture. I die cut kraft paper with the same die then used distress crackle and walnut stain when it was dry.
To contrast with the die cut letters I used a stamp to emboss a phrase “Remember the now” which I gave wings from Heart Wings die. I stamped with distress embossing ink onto linen effect card die cut with Styled Label. I inked the card to reveal the words.
Here are some of the Products I used.
I feel quite happy I managed to use several different Tim Holtz dies in this fun page with lots of distress and grunge.
I am also entering “A Country View” challenge, Word Play, wish me luck!
Please leave a comment, I appreciate your visit, thanks!
